Work is Fun!

Chase trenching for a drip irrigation system that will go to the sequoia trees.

The girls and I all got a special treat this week. After me cutting our hair throughout the year, we went to see Michelle to even things out. She's been polishing up my amatuer jobs for 12 years now. Here she is cutting Elley's hair. Thank you, Michelle.....until next year=)

Justus, after mopping, made this sign to warn us about the wet floor....so cute!

Finally Friday

Amy taking a nap on our steps. It must have taken a lot of energy to create her masterpiece on the magna doodle. She can sleep anywhere!

Fireworks at Cal Expo in Sacramento. It was the biggest we have ever seen. In fact, the kids asked why they were starting with the grand finale!

Our local Jamba Juice guy showing us how he protects the place....

Another use for wheatgrass!

We were so intrigued with his "hat", we asked him to pose for us=)

Everyday Life

Hannah and Holly hold their new brother/sister at Jamba Juice with the Morton's.
Our wonderful violin teacher Mrs. Eads. She teaches Holly, Macy, Justus and now Elley.
Chase went on to guitar=/
Amy and Elley love to help in the garden.
Apparently, it's sometimes more comfortable to take a nap under, rather than on top of, the bed.

Your Child is Ready To Be Potty Trained When......

.......She brings you the new diaper with wipes, and says "change me."
.......While cleaning her up, she points out where she thinks you may have missed.

And....After a leaky diaper episode last Sunday, our family concluded diaper bags should not only have extra outfits for the baby, but for the Mom, too!

We spent a day with grandparents and cousins today. Lots of pics.

You Have Your Hands Full!

"You have your hands full." I hear this at least once every time our family goes out. I love to hear it because I LOVE having my hands full with my children! I wish I could think of something wonderful and witty to reply. I always answer, "Yes, it's fun." That's it.

Here is another comment we hear a lot, "Do you homeschool?" Kevin always has a good response. One thing he says is, "We all homeschool, it's just up to the parent what and how much they want to teach when their children are at home." What makes people ask the homeschooling question? I finally asked a lady why she asked me that. She said, "You look like a homeschool mom." OH. I didn't think of the follow up question until after leaving, "Why do I look like a homeschool mom?
